About the Instructor
Cum Laude Graduate from Lawrence University's Conservatory of Music, Sasha Pynenberg, '18, carries a B.M. in Music Performance (Clarinet) and Music Education (Instrumental/General), with a minor in Ethnic Studies. Sasha provides a transformative music education to better develop and inspire the skills needed for a successful life. She believes that everyone deserves a high-quality music education under the best instruction. With experience from Philadelphia's El Sistema, Play On, Philly, Sasha worked with children of color from various socio-economic families under the direction of Stanford Thompson.

Along with her passion for El Sistema, Sasha is a full-time music educator through the Appleton Area School District teaching Elementary Music and Beginning Band. She also donates her time as the clarinet coach for the Fox Valley's Sinfonia, which offers music lessons to adult beginners. Sasha further dedicates her time to the Appleton City Band, Wisconsin Symphonic Winds, and Vento Winds. You will also recognize her in the pit orchestra during the fall season of Appleton East High School's Musicals.

During her free time, Sasha loves to watch movies with her husband and play with their cat, Oaklee! She also looks after other peoples pets and teaches Zumba at her local fitness center. Sasha is passionate about animal welfare and dancing the Latin rhythms of Merengue, Salsa, Cumbia, and Reggaeton.
